Steel, Hay

80 cm x 60 cm x 20 cm

The perishable – how it swells and diffuses at the same time. The silence and stillness in the hay - a silence that breathes. Both resting and waiting, the rhythm as one that increases then decreases, with the rhythm of the breath where time turns into volume through sculptures. The steel embracing the hay while not intruding on the imagination of air dynamics, make for a quiet material collision.

As when the fire goes away, it goes away with the wind, thus occupies the wind in itself in all things, when a person sleeps, her voice goes away with the breath and likewise does the sight, hearing and thought. Thus occupies breath everything.

(Gaston Bachelard)
